Helicraft Terms and Conditions

  1. Payment and Reservations
    1. All tours and scenic flights operate with a minimum of 2 passenger fares.
       
    2. Scenic flights may be shared with others. Exclusivity is only guaranteed upon request and when 4 or more seats per helicopter are purchased.
       
    3. Bookings are confirmed and secured upon receipt of payment (unless credit facilities have previously been arranged).
       
    4. All flights must be paid in full prior to travel at the time of booking.
       
    5. Flight and costs are subject to availability, confirmed passenger and baggage weights.
       
    6. Please arrive 10 minutes before your check in time. Do not miss your flight, late or “no shows” will not be refunded or rescheduled.
       
    7. Amex payments will incur a 2% surcharge.
       
    8. Tour bookings of more than 5 passengers will be priced based on filling one helicopter, and remaining passengers at relevant cost.
       
    9. Subject to aircraft availability, the aircraft may be replaced by an equivalent or suitable alternative and additional charges may apply.
       
    10. Flight routes and deviations may happen according to the conditions on the day.
       
  2. Weight Restrictions
    1. In accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority regulations, all passengers are required to provide full name, accurate weight and baggage details prior to flight.
       
    2. Helicraft tours are based on industry standard average passenger weight of 80kg per person.  (e.g 4 passengers x 80 kg = total weight allowance of 320 kg)
       
    3. If the total passenger weight exceeds the total average weight allowance, a larger helicopter or second helicopter or flight may be required at an additional charge. flight itinerary location stops may be reassessed and changed if necessary.
       
    4. Due to limited cargo space, light hand luggage only is permitted (i.e. handbag). Should flight seats not be filled to capacity, additional luggage space may be available. Large bulky or heavy items (including camera equipment) will not be carried onboard the aircraft unless under prior arrangement.
       
    5. Should a client check in with a weight variance to that advised at the time of booking, which causes aircraft limits to be exceeded Helicraft reserve the right to cancel the flight and no refund will apply.
       
  3. Infant's Rate / Policy
    1. One (1) child under their 3rd birthday may be booked to travel free of charge if seated on a guardian’s lap – weight restrictions apply. Children three and over pay full fare. Restricted to one infant per flight.
       
  4. Weather
    1. Whilst every effort is made to ensure passengers experiences exceed expectations, all flights are subject to weather conditions. 
      Helicraft will endeavor to give as much notice as possible for any flights cancelled due to weather. 
      Helicraft takes no responsibility for the weather conditions and any flights cancelled due to weather.  Helicraft reserves the right to refund in full  or re-scheduled if a flight does not depart.
      Our highest priority is the safety of our passengers.
       
    2. Flights can be cancelled at the pilot’s discretion, at any time. In the event that your pilot decides to terminate the flight due to weather, only the unused portion of your fare will be refunded.
       
    3. Alternative transport arrangements must be made by the client, in the event of flight cancellations.
       
  5. Passenger Safety
    1. All passengers fly at the pilot’s discretion. Helicraft reserves the right to cancel or terminate any flight if a passenger is deemed a threat to the safety of the aircraft or other passengers and crew, this includes but is not limited to drunk and disorderly, erratic or threatening behavior. No refund will be given.
       
  6. Changes and Cancellations
    1. Any changes to itinerary or cancellations must be received in writing.
       
    2. Changes to itinerary made after booking confirmation incur a $50 charge per change.
       
    3. Cancellations received after booking confirmation with more than 24 hours notice incur a 20% cancellation fee.
       
    4. Cancellations received with less than 24 hours notice forfeit the right to a refund.
       
    5. Changes received with less the 24 hours notice incur a $100 charge per booking change.
       
    6. Additional costs incurred by Helicraft in preparation for any operation that is operationally required or requested and subsequently cancelled by the client will be charged to the client in full. These may include ground operations, advertising costs or specific aircraft reconfiguration and repositioning charges.
       
  7. Nightfall, Controlled Airspace and Landing approvals
    1. Unless otherwise stated, flying can only take place during daylight hours. If passengers delay the departure of the flight causing an inability to fly due to nightfall, all expenses incurred in having to stay overnight are the responsibility of the client.
       
    2. Passenger delays that affect the flight due to nightfall or Air Traffic Services windows will forfeit any rights to a refund.
       
    3. Due to the nature of flying in Controlled Airspace, flight paths may differ to that advertised.
       
    4. Many flights are subject to landing approvals being obtained from third parties and are therefore outside of the control of Helicraft.
       
    5. Additional charges may be applied for third party landing fees.
       
  8. Gift Certificates
    1. Are valid for a period of 12 months from the date of issue. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash. Gift certificates can be upgraded. If a gift certificate has been fraudulently changed or altered it will be deemed to be invalid.
       
    2. Gift certificates if lost or stolen cannot be replaced or redeemed.
       
  9. Special Needs
    1. So we can accommodate any special needs, please ensure any relevant medical conditions are known to the booking agent.
       
  10. Dangerous Goods
    1. Prohibited Dangerous Goods are not permitted on Helicraft Aircraft. This includes goods and substances that are corrosive, flammable, explosive, spontaneously combustible or toxic.   11. Personal Information
    1. The personal information you provide to Helicraft may be used not only to service your bookings, enquiries and customer care, but also to update you regarding new products and services and special offers.
